Excited to see that after years of waiting, Shout is now going ahead to release Season 5 of RHODA. Which made me wonder - any updates for THE FLYING NUN's last season for a release?

I've been waiting a long time for this one too. A few years ago I recorded the season 3 episodes from TV but the episodes are edited so of course I'd like to have a retail release from the studio with the uncut episodes. Flying Nun season 3 should have been released soon after season 2 got it's release. Since it hasn't happened and it's taken this long, I'm thinking that maybe season 3 won't get released, but instead we might get a brand new complete series release at some point in the future. I'd be fine with either one. Either release season 3 or start all over and release the complete series.

Flying Nun probably wasn't a good DVD seller for Sony for them to abandon the show with only one season left to go. Maybe that's why another studio has been reluctant to finish it. But I hope we'll see season 3 eventually, either as a single release or part of a complete series release.

I still have my season 3 recordings from Antenna TV. The 26 episodes are on 4 DVD's.

The good thing about these recordings is that the episodes have full and intact closing credits. I recorded these a few years ago during the early days of Antenna TV, before someone at the station decided it would be a great idea to crunch the closing credits of episodes.

The bad thing is, the episodes are edited, some scenes are deleted, but that was to be expected because Antenna TV doesn't air uncut episodes of shows.

So these are basically better to have than nothing unless the 3rd season gets an official DVD release from the studio.
