Lot of great songs from 74 so I'll have to think about it.
Black Water was originally the B-side of Another Park, Another Sunday and I prefer it over the other.

Hi, Penny,

I got your PM. I hope you got my reply.

As to great songs of 1974, didn’t The Eagles release a lot of great songs in 1974?

My brother saw CSN&Y on the night Richard Nixon resigned as POTUS in 1974 and in reaction, David Crosby sang, “Longtime Coming.”

I made favorite hit songs threads for all of the 1970's years, 1970 to 79, I just updated all of them and added a few songs that were not on the lists previously. The total number of songs is now 455 and I will probably stop there.

Some interesting trivia about the Guess Who's 1974 hit Star Baby, it spent 19 weeks on the Billboard chart which is the most weeks of any Guess Who hit, but it stalled at the #39 spot which is very strange for a song that spent 19 weeks on the chart.

Star Baby was a top 10 hit in Chicago, reaching the #3 spot on the WLS chart. The Streak by Ray Stevens and The Loco-motion by Grand Funk prevented Star Baby from the #1 spot on WLS.

Star Baby also reached the #3 spot on Chicago's WCFL chart. Midnight At The Oasis by Maria Muldaur and Band On The Run by Paul McCartney & Wings prevented Star Baby from the #1 spot on WCFL.
