does anyone remember the story of the family..the son disappeareded...the dad was gone from the family...later the daughters find the dad and they find a container that had a picture or pics of their missing brother..BUT..he looked OLDER than when he disappeared, AND was wearing clothes they did not recognize

the dad never admitted anything and he passed away..there was some kind of name possibly of the missing brother in the DMV...but the DMV would not release the info...said they had to wait over 20 years for the info to be released????

anyone have an update??? thanks...I tried to go through the listings for all the episodes but that was a daunting task because the show was on for so long

thanks in advance...so long ago hope my info is correct...best that I can remember

Clifford Sherwood was the boy's name. According to the UM wiki his father's name was Tex. Clifford's mother Frances was certain that Tex had taken their son; however, George Gumbley, Clifford's friend who was walking to school with him that day, also disappeared at the same time never to be seen again. So, either Tex kidnapped George also, or the boys met a different fate.

There was some confusion in this case as Tex was born and had served in the military under a different name and was secretive about that part of his past. The timeline on the records you're referring to are Tex's military records which became public in 2006 but had no information that helped in the investigation into Clifford's disappearance. There was a man with a DL registered in Canada at some point named Edward Clifford Sherwood whose birthdate matched Clifford's (Edward was Tex's birth name), but he was never located AFAIK. Clifford's mother passed away in 2009. Her son had been missing for 55 years, and she never discovered what happened to him.

Who is not in Texas? Are there other places? My home state has some strange segments. The entity is a personal favorite of mine when I need a good laugh.

All joking aside there are a couple long threads on here with this topic. Not to make light of it...There are still many cold cases yet to be solved. I share your interest in the IH 70 case as one of the alleged murders took place in an area that was close to home.
