The CW Cancels "Frequency" and "No Tomorrow"
"Frequency" and "No Tomorrow" Canceled by The CW
by Lesley Goldberg, Kate Stanhope May 8, 2017 The CW has axed two of its freshman dramas, "Frequency" and "No Tomorrow", The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Neither show was expected to return. They were the first CW shows in years to not get additional episode pickups. "Frequency" was a combination of two of the season's most popular trends: time travel and movie reboots. Starring Peyton List and Riley Smith, the show had a small movie fan base to build on from the start. The Warner Bros. TV first-year series couldn't connect with viewers, averaging just a 0.4 rating and 1.5 million viewers — not enough to justify a back-nine pickup. Meanwhile, The CW had high hopes for "No Tomorrow" to join the ranks of light hour-long entries "Jane the Virgin" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (and for star Tori Anderson to break out in the same way Golden Globe winners Gina Rodriguez and Rachel Bloom have). But the apocalyptic comedy from CBS TV Studios failed to enter the awards conversation like "Jane" and "Crazy". The first-year comedy, from Jane alum Corinne Brinkerhoff, mustered just a 0.3 average rating and 1 million viewers and failed to earn a back-nine pickup. The CW's 2016-17 freshman class wraps at one-for-three, with only mid-season drama "Riverdale" — based on DC's Archie Comics characters — going on to earn a second season. Next up for The CW will be determining the fate of bubble shows "iZombie" and "The Originals", as well as deciding which of its six pilots will move to series. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...at-cw-1001320? |

I really liked No Tomorrow - it was a cute little entertaining show, although I'm not sure they really had a good plan for a second season (I guess we'll never know now though).

No Tomorrow was pretty good, wish they hadn't cancelled it. Now we'll never know if Xavier's prediction came true.

"No Tomorrow" and "Frequency" Epilogues Released
by Vlada Gelman and Ryan Schwartz May 13, 2017 The CW has fulfilled its promise, providing closure to recently canceled freshman series "Frequency" and "No Tomorrow" in the form of newly released epilogues. They are available exclusively through CWTV.com. In the "Frequency" featurette, clocking in at just under four minutes, Frank (Riley Smith) manages to fix the ham radio and get back in touch with Raimy (Peyton List), allowing for his daughter to pass on a vital piece of information. "No Tomorrow", meanwhile, has gotten closure in the form of an extended cut of its finale, revealing whether an asteroid struck Earth and brought humanity to an end as we know it in the final two minutes. http://tvline.com/2017/05/13/watch-f...celled-the-cw/ |

I knew Frequency wouldn't last. It was (in my opinion) a dumb plot and I don't understand turning a movie into a series either when it's been such a long time between the movie and doing the TV show.
