To honor the popular line of Mattel's Street Sharks line of action figures for boys DIC Entertainment made a cartoon based on the toyline that featured the Street Sharks characters in fun adventures while trying to outrun an evil scientist who transformed the characters from human brothers to sharks. The Street Sharks cartoon series was also released on video in a four video set containing episodes of the Street Sharks cartoon and it looked awesome when I saw the preview of the cartoon on a Sailor Moon video I have

Hi Bestie! I saw Street Sharks when it first came out. They were trying to capitalize on the TMNT popularity. But Street Sharks was actually a better cartoon than TMNT! It was really crazy! Like the old Batman tv show! I wish they would make this cartton again! Thanks for the memories Bestie!!

They were never ever popular and considered a ripoff of TMNT- most boys back then hated it (I was one of them)

I got the complete Anmited tv series!! i didn't like it back then either but now i do i only paid $6 bucks for the complete Anmited tv series!! you can't go wrong there!!
