:Sigh: The NBC 75th Anniversary special made my heart sing with glee! I was almost ready to die of happiness. I taped the entire thing, and I can't wait to watch it again. Christine, you and I should be locked away together. I, too, was almost crying with Ted and Shelley came out holding hands!!! I want them to get married. LOL I missed Bebe and Kirstie, but I wasn't too disappointed about Woody Harrelson. AND THEN When Martin Short started the crowd singing the Cheers song I was crying. You could tell the cast was emotional too. I LOVED THE SPECIAL! Like the rest of you, I didn't think that NBC would put a lot of Cheers clips in, but by the display of Cheers in the special you can clearly see that Cheers is the darling of NBC. And the other parts that weren't Cheers related (YOU MEAN THERE WERE OTHER PARTS???) were also so well done and I just think it was really tasteful. I can't wait until NBC 100th LOL.

Oh, sorry I forgot to add one more thing. Christine, I agree about Shelley's husband! When I watched the special last night I was like OMG Ted is sitting next to Shelley. But, then when I rewatched the Cheers part this morning I saw that it wasn't him.

Will Ferell, Ana Gasteyer, Tina Fey, and Jimmy Fallon made the theme songs really funny.

yeah i saw it!

when the Friends cast came out and started talking about it, i was like "yeah, o well..." then i realized that THEY were introducing the Cheers thing lol. good segment...did ne one else notice that some of the clips were remastered and others weren't?

then when it came to the theme songs, i was thinking "cheers better be here." The martin short says something like its ending, and i was like "no!" lol...but then he says for everyone to join in this last one, and the Cheers theme starts! it was the longest theme there...and i bet everyone was expecting them to sing the whole refrain (not the short one like they did...which is y they were confused i guess lol)

and Kirstie has done some stuff...i have a pic in hollywood for somethin where she was w/ them...and plus, Shelley was there! i was surprised by that! (kinda...)

clips coming soon...hopefully

Doug

I LOVE NBC!!!!
Same here with Ted's resemblance to Shelley's husband and the weird thing thing is Shelley married her husband in 1981 (I think). A year before Cheers started. Did Shelley know Ted Danson at the time?? Hmmm. All right I know I'm getting crazy but the girl can't help it! BTW are Rhea and Shelley getting along again?

Cool

OMG! That was the BEST thing I ever seen on NBC. John Ratzenberger at the beggining when Kelsey was taking questions was just like ol' Cliff Clavin!! I LOVED IT!! And when the did the Cheers Tribute...amazing....I was BAFFLED that Shelley Long was there! It was so sweet Wow...and the theme song thing...so wonderful.....When the cast was singing, I got sooo happy. I CAN'T WAIT for a Cheers reunion......AND the NBC out takes and Must-see TV tribute!! I recorded the 75th anniversery so I am going to watch it over and over agian. Thank you NBC and the cast of 'Cheers'

Yeah Everything was great. Cheers was probably NBC's most important sitcom ever it's like Happy Days to ABC. Cheers deserves all the tributes it went from last in the ratings to first. It is definately one of the best sitcoms of all time.

I agree that Cheers is very important to NBC, but I think the Cosby Show is just as important because it was the Cosby Show that helped boost Cheers up in ratings.
