Meh, I thought he was a good Batman, better than either Keaton or Clooney. I know the conventional wisdom is that Batman Forever was a bad movie, but I liked it. Perfect? No. But fun and I thought the performances were good.

But now? When I think of Batman, I think of Bale. And really, Kilmer's too old now. That ship has sailed.

Val and George were forgettable Batmans, Bale feels like he's doing a bad Eastwood impression. If my friend wasn't my ride home I would have walked out on Batman Forever.
I like Burton's Batmans the best, Keaton was excellent.
Haven't seen the Affleck version.

I know I'm in the minority but I never, never for a second bought Keaton as Batman. Wiry, hyper, and really very little physical presence; seriously, when he said, "Let's get crazy!" I nearly laughed. Nicholson really overshadowed him in that film and that was one of its many problems for me.

But the script didn't seem to know who Batman was, either, so I don't fault Keaton for all of it.

But again, different strokes. For me, Bale's Batman just hit the nail on the head. That's why we're all amateur critics; nobody has a monopoly on taste!

It's all good. I know I'm in the minority on the Bale versions, though I did love Heath's performance.

I've rarely been accused of having good taste.
