Default Things that changed over the years

One thing I've noticed was that, starting around season 6 Tim's "Tool Time" accidents were toned down considerably. By season 8, they were pretty much non-existent. It seems like the later seasons were more serious than the earlier ones. Tim didn't seem as obsessed with giving things "more power" anymore.

Home Improvement is one of those shows that I just tired of after it's 2nd season, the only reason for watching was because it aired in the hour block with Full House (I didn't know any better back then).

Really the show was getting repetitive and boring, Tim does something to prove himself more manly, he then teases Al, talks to his boys about life lessons, Jill calls him a male chauvanist, neighbor Wilson gives sage advice to Tim, wash rinse repeat.

The show was probably a top 10-20 show but it was serviceable for the network and wasn't anything innovative.

I love when Tim sends the barbecue put into space at the beginning of season seven by adding rocket fuel to the picture.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. The accidents in my opinion never went anywhere. Tool Time though is where most of them took place compared to the house. I do remember Tim making Brad a more powerful wheelchair in the last season when he broke his leg by falling down the house stairs because of the carpet there being rolled up. If I remember right, Tim crashed the wheel chair right through Wilson's fence.

Something else I've noticed is that in the earlier seasons, Al seemed more serious, and more easily annoyed with Tim's antics. I wish they had kept his character like that because it made the show funnier.
