"The Walking Dead" Promotes 3 Actors to Series Regular Ahead of Season 8

"The Walking Dead‘s" eighth season doesn’t launch for another six months, but this much we can already tell you: AMC’s zombie smash has big plans for Negan’s right-hand man Simon, Carl’s crush Enid and Scavengers leader Jadis.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the recurring characters’ respective portrayers — Steven Ogg, Katelyn Nacon and Pollyanna McIntosh — have formally been upgraded to series regular ahead of Season 8.





McIntosh, who played the murderous Angel on SundanceTV’s "Hap And Leonard", joined "The Walking Dead" this past season.

Ogg’s Simon is the right-hand man of Savoirs leader Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). He also recurs on HBO’s "Westworld".

Nacon is Enid, a teenager the group met in Alexandria who recently has been a love interest for Carl (Chandler Riggs).





"The Walking Dead" recently completed its seventh season on April 2 as TV’s No. 1 show among adults 18-49 for the fifth consecutive year — the only drama in television history to do so.
