I don't understand why these shows were popular:

Seinfeld
MASH
Modern Family
Glee
Parks And Recreation
Community
The Office
Will And Grace
Judge Judy
Scrubs
The Walking Dead
Sons Of Anarchy
Two And A Half Men
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Reno 911
Cops

Just goes to show that people will watch anything, no matter how stupid the show is!

I don't like any of these except for Will & Grace and Judge Judy.

Just goes to show some people don't understand "difference in taste", world would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

100% this.

Calling shows stupid just because they don't happen to like them, really? Some people seriously need to grow up.

CSI/NCIS and all spinoffs
Modern Family (there have been good episodes but the show doesn't have very good writing most of the time)
Walker Texas Ranger
Murder She Wrote (love Lansbury in movies but not this show)
Quincy, M.E.
Adam-12
The Dukes of Hazzard
Ironside
The Waltons
Ozzie and Harriet

This is how I feel-- would I spend money on the DVDs of shows like Friends, Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, Law & Order, et al.? No, I would not, as they are wastes to me; however, there are those who are fans of those shows and who have purchased the releases, and it is not in my nature to judge them for wasting money on those releases, because that would, IMO, be much like judging those people for even liking those shows. They're not my cup of tea, but if those people like them, more power to them.

Roseanne (after the first season). After that it was just so mean and trashy and we all found out what a bitch Roseanne Barr really is.

The first 2 posts - a lot of the show's mentioned weren't/aren't that popular.
In the 2nd post, I haven't even heard of quite a few that were mentioned.
(don't have the time to go into more detail now)

A lot of the show's mentioned although not for me, I do get why some liked them. You have to look out of your "personal box".

I'm the opposite on this, with the exception of The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, her movies never appealed to me. MSW I can watch all day and not get tired of it.

Everybody has their likes and dislikes...what I don't understand is how shows that are proven in ratings to be unsuccessful, continued...such as The Office and Parks and Recreation (these were on m. The Office went into syndication (I think P&R did too), where it was also a flop.

Now for my picks: I'll never understand how what passes for animation today lasts and lasts--The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Well that is my favorite movie she's been in. I could give MSW another try it's been a long time since I've watched an episode and I'm more mature now than I was then.

The Office was one of NBC's highest rated shows in the 18-49 demo, which is what counts to advertisers. Total viewers are irrelevant.
