Default Malaysian flight

I'm quite sure back in the day UM would've covered this story and sinc one of my best fiends is a commercial pilot this case has always fascinated me. It's been back in the news lately as the 3 year anniversary just passed. My friend who's a pilot and any other pilot he's talked to believe, based on all these info available, there is only one conclusion...pilot suicide. Here's some of there a reasoning ...

1) A 9/11 style hijacking isn't likely at all based on this senario. A terrorist group would've just crashed it immediately or crashed into it a populated area. They would've wanted to have taken credit and let the world known. Also, all passengers aboard the flight were throughly looked into and no connection to a terrorist group or radical radical beliefs were found.

2) before the flight deviated from its flight path, the transmitter was purposefully shut off. If it was caused by "mechanical problems" which I'm told is virtually impossible, the crew would've notified ATC that something was seriously wrong as if there was a mechanical issue big enough to shut down the transmitter, it would've been serious. Again, I'm told virtually impossible.

3) The shutting off of the transmitter right before he deviates from his flight path is telling. It pretty much eliminates the theory of the plane someone decompressing and depriving the crew of oxygen therefore killing all onboard and leaving it a "ghost plane".

4) The flight was caught on satiltite traveling for hours in the opposite direction. Not one distress call.

5) the pilot would've known if he just dove the plane into the ground or ocean without making it disappear first, investigators could prove it was pilot suicide by recovering the black boxes. However, if authorities couldn't find the plane, he knew it would remain virtually impossible to definitely say it was pilot suicide.

6) the pilot could've easily locked the co-pilot out of the cockpit. When he got up to use the restroom, he could've locked the door behind him. This actually happened before on a silk air flight that crashed due to pilot suicide. The pilot could then cause cabin decompression from the cockpit by the flip of a switch to the main cabin. The oxygen masks only lasts so long. Usually 15-20min max. Once unconscious/dead from lack of oxygen, the plane was his. He has his own supply as oxygen. Or he simply could've injured/killed the co-pilot in the cockpit.

7)! The captains wife had just left him in the days before the plane went missing. Prior to that their marriage was very troubled.

8) His flight simulator showed he flew the exact same path that this missing flight would take in the months leading up to this event. My pilot friend is adamant that that is no coincidence. A flight simulator is incredibly realistic and a great training tool for pilots.

9) no other theory fits. If something mechanical brought the airplane down, it would'nt have crashed so many hours later.

10) the only explanation for 9) is a ghost plane (as desrcibed before where all aboard are killed by decompression through oxygen deprivation. However, he shut off the transmitter. That shows someone didn't want authorities to know exactly where the plane was. Doesn't fit. If that transmitter was wasn't turned off, that airplane would've been found.

Anyways, due to all those reasons listed and a few more , Im very confident
Pilot suicide is the cause. Can't prove it without the black boxes but nothing else makes sense.

I haven't seen you commenting on here in a spell-- welcome back!

Interesting points, all of them. I don't have the knowledge base you do, but it certainly seems plausible...
