Have you ever looked at one of those big sheds for sale on the side of the highway and pictured converting it to a small house? Maybe for a guest to stay in, or to give your son or daughter a home near home while going to college and maybe save on dorm room expenses? They could have their own place near home and still be out of the house. Now I know that one of the main points to a kid going to college is to get away from Mom and Dad, but if Mom and Dad are covering college expenses, they are making the rules too. My friend is a heck of a builder and carpenter, and is thinking of starting up a business converting these sheds into small homes. Just think of the money you'd save in purchasing one of these small homes. I know others have done it before, but I don't know of anyone doing it full time as a business. There are many people that live alone and would buy one of these to live in and save the expense of a regular house. One person doesn't need allot of room, so I think it would be perfect. Maybe one day, someone will open up a home converted shed park, similar to a Mobile Home park. I know I would buy one. Not nearly as expensive as a regular house or Mobile Home.
