Default Whatever happened to Don Cervantes (Paco Rodriguez)?

I often wonder whatever become of actor Don Cervantes, who played remedial student Paco Rodriguez throughout most of "The Greatest American Hero's" three-season run. Prior to "TGAH," Cervantes had guest-starred on "The White Shadow" and "Hill Street Blues." His last credit to date (according to IMdb) was a 1987 episode of "Amen."

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Don Cervantes, drop me a line...I'd love to hear from you! Enjoy your evening, as well as your weekend!

That's the biggest mystery surrounding TGAH.

A few years back I attempted to track down Mr. Cervantes hoping for an interview. I sent out over a half a dozen letters to various addresses hoping I had the right one, or maybe a family member. No luck.

So either I had all bad addresses, or maybe Cervantes has no desire to rekindle the past.

Thank you, greenguy! At least you tried...perhaps Mr. Cervantes will agree to an interview someday.

I've always wondered why they put him in the opening credits for ONE episode S2E16 only to take him out again the very next.

That's how the series is seen today. Originally Cervantes was added to the opening credits with Plague in season two. He remained in the opening credits for the rest of the season. When Cannell pulled the series from syndication to strike new masters for distribution many things were changed and errors were made. One of the errors was using the first version of season two's opening credits for ALL of season 2. Except for It's All Downhill From Here which retains it's actual broadcast version. The new versions made their debut in 2000 and those are what we see today.

The series screams for a proper remaster and restoration to "fix" many mistakes made almost 30 years ago.
