Default Amazon Season 3 changes thread

So other than episode 2 missing (WTF?), I already noticed one interesting change...

In episode 5, there is the Adam Hecht case. I specifically remember when I watched this case before, it ended with Robert Stack saying something to the effect of "As a footnote to this story, a few months after Adam disappeared, his brother Harold ran into Tony on the street and asked where Adam was. Tony said if Harold followed him on the streets, he might learn where Adam went."

I know I don't have the specifics all correct, but it was something like that. In any case, that was missing from the end of the Amazon episode. Was that part of an update? I swear it was on the original story but was cut out. I wonder why it was axed...

From memory, that was indeed part of the original segment. In fact, when I watched it as a kid, my hope was that Adam's brother punched Tony when he gave him that response.

That sucks. Adam Hecht to me was one of the most interesting cases on the entire run of Unsolved Mysteries.

It was originally supposed to be in season 2 right?

If so, I'm glad to see that they are in fact going to be putting some of those missing segments from previous seasons out eventually.

The update was scary as hell. I've never seen Stack look quite so fierce.

Thumbs up

Thank you for answering peachysquirt! That is one of my favorite segments. I've been a LONG time lurker here for about a dozen yrs & have the UM Favs set, but being the fan that I am, due to repeat viewings & the passage of time, my set is now worse for the wear, so I'm excited to see UM commercially available finally. I also have about 45 DVDs of segments I recorded on my own & transferred from VHS to dvd, but again there is nothing like high quality audio/video that commercial release provides. Just hope the later seasons get released, as I'm the odd duck who likes the later seasons better & one of my favorite cases (JonBenet) is becoming harder & harder to watch due to deterioration of the media it's on. Sorry for rambling, just excited that one of my favorite shows is getting the "star treatment" it deserves! I have watched UM since I was 10 or 11 & I am now 35!

Thank you for the warm welcome, LooksLikeCRicci!! I always enjoy reading your posts. I love this board & all the various theories & debates the members here have. Like I said I've been a lurker for over a decade & I don't what made me come out from the shadows now, but I guess I'm so excited at the prospect of UM finally being released in full episodes (for the most part) that I can no longer contain my excitement & enthusiasm for the show. I feel so comfortable amongst this group & am happy to meet others who have a shared interest in the show. I'm
