OK Guys, this is my first fanfic and i have absolutely no idea where it is going, so go easy on me! lol

As Jinny was lying in her bed one night, she started thinking about her life. She knew that her life had turned around, but she wasn’t sure that she liked it this way. If not for the intervention, she would have been in a bar that night, or depending on how fast she moved, she could already be at some random guy’s house. No matter what she told herself, she couldn’t stop the longing for the alcohol that had consumed her life for so long. She wanted to drink so badly, but she didn’t, out of loyalty to her job and her best friend. She also thought of how much she missed Teddy now that he was gone. She could not stop thinking about how much she had messed things up this time. Finally, thinking about Teddy, Jinny fell asleep.

*Jinny’s alarm clock is going off at 7:00 AM*

Jinny got lazily out of bed and pushed the snooze button. ‘One more minute cant hurt’ she thought to herself as she fell back into her bed.

An hour later, Jinny awoke at the sound of the phone ringing. “God, who is it?” she thought out loud. “I’m coming, I’m coming!” she yelled towards the phone. She grabbed her black robe and put it on over her sweats that she had slept in. On her way to the door, she passed a mirror and glanced in, groaning. ‘Lovely, Jin’ she said aloud. Having not showered since the morning before and sleeping with her hair up in a ponytail, she was looking not-so-lovely when she answered the phone

“Hello?” Jinny managed to mutter, her voice still sounding sleepy.
“Jin! Hey, good morning! Did I wake you?” The voice on the other end asked. Then, Jinny knew who it was.
“Teddy! Hi! Yeah, you woke me up, but that’s ok. Actually, thanks, because I would have been late for work.” Jinny said, suddenly aware of the awkwardness of the whole situation. Why had Teddy just all of a sudden called her apartment at 8:00 in the morning?
“Well, I was thinking about you last night and decided that I really wanted to talk things out with you. Could you meet me later?” Teddy asked into the phone.
“Umm…sure, I’ll have to call you later and get a time set up. I’ve been busy lately.” Jinny told him. She still couldn’t believe that he had been thinking of her the night before.
“Yeah, sure, I understand. Jinny, I really miss you. I know that I told you before that I didn’t want to even be friends, I do. But I want to be more than friends.”
“Teddy, I miss you too, but we’ll talk about this later. I have to get ready for work. Talk to you later! Bye!” Jinny said.
“Bye, Jinny.”

Here's a little bit more, cuz i'm really bored!

Jinny hurried and took her shower and dried her hair. Wrapped in a towel, she was picking out her outfit for the day. ‘What should I wear? I want Teddy to think of me as more than a friend still…Jin, snap out of it! Your life does not revolve around this guy!’ She finally decided on black pants and a white *gasp* top to go with it. After putting on the pants and shirt, she headed for the door, on the way grabbing her leather jacket and boots. Just as she was about to leave, the phone rang. ‘This better be important. I’m going to be late!’ she thought. “Hello?” she snapped into the phone. It was already 9:00 and she still had to pick Magda up. On top of that, the Cap was going to be on her butt again. “Jinny, it’s me again.” Teddy said.
“Hey. You know what? I’m sorry, but I’ve really got to go to work.”
“Yeah, I know. But let’s just meet at my apartment at 7, ok? I won’t be in my office today, so I hoped that I would catch you before you left.”
“You’re lucky. I was just opening the door, almost out already.”
“OK, well…have a good day! See you tonight! Love you!”
“You have a good day too! Bye!” Jinny said, and hung up the phone.

Here's some more!

In the elevator, heading downstairs, she started replaying their conversation in her mind. By the time she reached her car, she had realized that Teddy had said a quick ‘Love you’ at the end of their conversation. ‘Oh my goodness, I know that he didn’t say it. He couldn’t have!’ she thought. But she knew that he did. In a way, it made her feel special, that he cared about her enough to say it, but then again, it made her feel that things were already going too fast.

*Back at Teddy’s office*

Teddy stood holding the phone, staring at it in shock. He wasn’t shocked by what he had heard; he was shocked by what he had said. How could he have been so careless and let it slip like that? He had wanted to say it to her forever, and now that he did, he felt a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. He just wished that 7:00 would come faster.

*Jinny’s Car*

While driving to Mag’s house, Jinny thought of all the times that Teddy had been there for her. She was pretty sure that she loved him, but she couldn’t be sure, not yet. Just as she pulled into Mag’s driveway, a thought occurred to her. Should she tell Magda about her and Teddy? Again, she had split opinions. On one hand, Magda’s her best friend, but on the other, Magda would make a huge deal out of this. She might never live this down. She knew that her friend was just encouraging her, but she really didn’t want her to anymore.

Jinny stepped out of her car and walked up the driveway. She could see Ben in the window, playing his Gameboy, and could hear Mag pleading with him to get ready. Since there was no school that day, he was spending the day with his grandma, but he still had to get dressed. Jinny walked in without knocking. “Hey Ben! Mag! I’m here!” she yelled. She went over to Bed and ruffled his hair. Whenever she was with Ben, her maternal instincts started to show and she wanted a child, but she knew how much work they were. “Ben, why don’t we surprise your mom and go get dressed?” She asked, trying to make it so that Ben would get off the couch and get dressed. “OK, Jinny, but I don’t want to go to Grandma’s house today. Can I go to your house? Please?” Ben gave his best puppy dog look. “Ben, your mom and I have a lot of work to do today. Besides, my house isn’t fun at all! You just get to play your Gameboy there!” Jinny exclaimed. Ben got off the couch. “Alright, fine, I’ll get dressed, but will you come and get me at Grandma’s tonight?” Ben pleaded. “Sure, hon. You can come to my apartment for a little while.” She helped Ben pick out his clothes and left the room while he got dressed, because he “needed his privacy.”

K guys, i got grounded so it'll be awhile until i post again.

Jinny heard Mag singing in her bedroom. Ever since she and Gabe had gotten back together, Mag was always in a good mood. “Mag! Are you ready yet? I got Ben to get dressed for ya!” Jinny called. “Yeah, I’m coming now.” Mag stepped out of her room in black pants and a red shirt.
“Hey, Jin, color looks good on you!” She said, teasing Jinny about her choice to wear a white shirt instead of black.
“Shut up. You should be grateful that I got your son ready in time. Now come on. We got to go!”
Ben walked out of his room, dressed and ready to go, still playing his Gameboy. “Ben, do you play that thing when you’re sleeping, too?” Jinny asked, smiling.
“No, Mom makes me put it away at 8. I don’t know why.” Ben complained.
“Come on, Papi, we’ve got to get out of here. Grandma’s probably worrying about you.” Magda said to her son.

As Jinny was driving Magda and herself to work after they had dropped Ben off, she noticed that the ring was off of Mag’s finger. There were just a couple of weeks before the wedding, and Jinny didn’t know if they had called it off. She didn’t know whether or not to say anything, so she stayed silent, but soon, she couldn’t bear it.
“OK, Mag. Where’s the ring?” She asked. She knew that Magda would have wanted Jin to ask her anyways.
“Well…you see…my fingers are getting kind of swollen.” Mag said, with a sheepish smile on her face.
“OK, would you like to clarify?” Jinny asked.
“Jinny, I’m pregnant.”

”Magda! I’m so happy for you! You never told me! How far along are you?” Jinny asked.
Magda was clearly not as happy as Jinny would have expected.
“I don’t know. I haven’t been to the doctor yet, so it’s not for sure yet, but I’m pretty sure. You know my instincts.” Magda said.
“Yeah, I know your instincts! They are never wrong, huh? What about the time…” Jinny said, laughing.
“Oh, you shut up! My instincts are never wrong!” Magda laughed, hitting Jinny playfully on the arm. But Magda got solemn suddenly.
“Mag, what’s up?” Jinny asked, sincerely.
“I’m just afraid that Gabe will run out on me again. He did the first time. You never know. I’m just really afraid that I’m going to be left to take care of a new baby and Ben, alone.” Mag said, on the verge of tears. They pulled into the parking lot of the division.
“Hey, you wouldn’t be alone. I would be there for you, you know that!” Jinny said, giving Magda a hug.
“Thanks, Jinny. OK let’s go in.”

In all of the excitement of the morning, Jinny had completely forgotten about her meeting with Teddy at his apartment that night. It was noon before she remembered again. She and Mag were going to eat at Anchorside, so she figured that this would be a good time to tell Mag.
“Jin, you ready to go yet?” Mag asked.
“Yeah, just let me finish this last form. *writes something* OK, I’m ready.”
They walked to the restaurant, and got a booth. The waiter came to the table.
“Can I take your order?” the waiter asked.
“Yeah, I’ll take the burger and French fries and a Diet Coke.” Jinny told the waiter.
“I’ll have the garden salad and an iced tea. Thanks.” Magda said.
Time passes in silence as they both sit, lost in thought. Finally, Jinny speaks up.
“Magda, Teddy called me this morning.” Jinny blurted out.
“You’re kidding! What did he want?”
“He said that he wants to talk about us because he misses me and I’m going over to his apartment tonight and we’re going to talk. I think that he wants to get back together with me.”
“Jinny, this is amazing! You guys will end up together. It’s one of my instincts, they’re never wrong, you know!” Magda said, teasing Jinny.
“You keep telling yourself that, Mag.” Jinny said back, but deep down, she hoped that Mag was right.
The waiter approached their table and set their food and drinks down. “There you go. I’ll be back with the check.” He said and walked away. Magda looked over at Jinny, who was staring after the waiter, looking at his butt.
“Jinny, you with me here?” she said laughing.
“What? Oh, yeah. Sorry about that!” Jinny said, smiling. She liked Teddy and all, but this guy had a nice butt.
“As I was saying, you and Teddy will end up together. You know that!” Magda said.
“Yeah, I can only hope!” Jinny said, smiling, but Magda could see that this was really getting to her.

Jinny and Magda were back at the division, working on their case. It was about 4:30, and Jinny was starting to get nervous. She couldn’t stop thinking about him, no matter what she tried. She wondered what he was going to say and if they were going to end up together. She wanted to, because she was in love with him, but she knew that she had messed things up pretty bad last time. She was so sorry for that night, but she was never really good at apologies. Every time that she tried, the words got stuck in her mouth.
“Jinny! Come on! I want to go home and we’ve got to get this done!” Magda said, exhausted from a day, with Jinny gazing out the window and paperwork to finish from their last case. They had arrested a man the week before on some assault charges, and there was now a lot of paperwork.
“Mag, I promised Ben that he could come over to my apartment tonight. Do you think that he’d hold it against me if I changed my mind?” Jinny asked.
“Well…I don’t really know about Benjamin these days. He blows up over the littlest things! But I can make up some excuse for you.”
“Thank you, Mag. You’ve seen me today. I don’t really think that I could handle having to watch a kid and get ready to go over to Teddy’s at the same time.” Jinny said.
“Oh, I almost forgot about that!” Magda exclaimed. She had been pretty lost in thought herself for most of the day, thinking about her baby and her soon-to-be husband. “Are you nervous?”
“No, Mag. I’m perfectly fine!” Jinny said, sarcastically. “What do you think?”
“Hey, Jin, don’t bite my head off! I was just wondering.”
”Yeah, well…” Jinny trailed off. She was normally in a pretty good mood. What had happened? Maybe this is my reaction to nervousness, she thought.
