My mom is thinking of redecorating our kitchen in a cute I Love Lucy style and one of the things she wants is a Formica kitchen table for our kitchen but I have searched anywhere for one for Mom but some tables we looked at cost too much money and so I'm asking if anyone remembers when Formica tables were incredibly popular? My grandmother used to have one but then gave it away to charity

I remember the Formica tables, we didn't have one we had a wood table. But I know some of the diner's and cafe's had Formica tables. They were every where back then.

Everybody had formica tables and chairs in the 1950's! I have seen sets for sale on Ebay.

My granny still has a green one. We used to have a green one but I'm not sure what happened to it.

We had a red set, and kept it for years and years.
You may have some luck with Salvation Army or similar stores -- but finding a set in excellent condition could be tough, especially if you're only interested in certain colors. |

My kitchen still has the original counter tops (dating back to late-1964). I think it's Formica...

I have searched my thrift shop for my mom's Formica table but the ones that my thrift shop either have broken table legs or chairs with rusty chair legs. My mom is still on the hunt for one but she hopes to have a Formica table someday

I would think that Formica tables would be relatively cheap. Solid wood is expensive.
