The Pirates Of Dark Water
In 1991 The Pirates Of Dark Water debuted and was originally part of a syndicated cartoon package called The Fantastic World Of Hanna-Barbera and featured pirates going on adventures while trying to battle various villains. The Pirates Of Dark Water also featured the biggest names in Hollywood doing voices for some of the characters including veteran voice actress Jodi Benson. There was even a line of toys based on The Pirates Of Dark Water as well and reruns of the cartoon aired on Cartoon Network for a short time

It first aired on Fox kids and then the second season aired on ABC as a part of the Funtastic world of Hanna Barbera. Glad this has since been released in its complete form on DVD through Warner Archive.
Wish the second series of the toyline was produced as there were some great designs including both the good guys and villains ships. |
