Ryan Murphy Reveals "American Horror Story" Will Tackle 2016 Presidential Election

Ryan Murphy is pulling inspiration straight from the 2016 presidential election for the next season of "American Horror Story".

During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live", the prolific producer revealed that season seven of the FX anthology series will tackle the Nov. 8 election that saw Donald Trump defeat former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The next season "is going to be about the election that we just went through, so I think that will be interesting for a lot of people," Murphy told host Andy Cohen while promoting his new FX anthology series, "Feud".

When pressed for details from Cohen, particularly whether there will be a character based on President Trump, Murphy responded with a coy "Maybe."

AHS was renewed for two more seasons in January. Series mainstays Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters have already been confirmed to return.

Season seven, Murphy also revealed Wednesday, begins shooting in June.

Sounds like they are running out of ideas for AHS. I got into the first two seasons, but then it started going south. The 3rd season, the school for witches storyline was uneventful to me. The only decent storyline was centered around Kathy Bates. The 4th season, the freak show one, wasn't too bad although it sort of dragged by the end. I watched the first 3 episodes of season 5 about the Hotel and turned it off It was so painful watching boring storylines and Lady GaGa's tremendous lack of talent (not to mention dog-ugliness). Maybe I will watch the Roanoke one.
