While none of these cases are in any way something to be laughed at or joked about, there have been some light hearted moments to me through the reenactments/interviews with the family. One segment that always made me chuckle was the case of the Tatum Haunting. Jim and Kay Tatum had a case of poltergeist. In the episode, he explains he's having trouble with a bell that keeps ringing. In one interview you can see he starts changing positions and getting really fired up. Even his wife comments "Boy, this really upset you."
Were there any memories that you have that made you laugh? PS-I can't praise Amazon Prime enough for being these episodes back!! |

![]() I can't wait for some of the later seasons to hit Amazon. My favorite "funny" moment was the Mann haunting segment. You know, where Alan Mann and his teenage bride were living with his parents? And she allegedly gets possessed by the ghost in the house? She tackles him while evilly laughing. She probably weighs about 90 lbs, yet was able to overcome Alan, who was easily three times her size. ![]() Good times. |

I've always assumed that Jim Tatum was getting emotional because he was legitimately spooked about the poltergeist after retelling the story about the bell. I think his wife says something to the effect of, "I've never seen him like this". I think he was trying to avoid crying. |

Thank you for the welcome! I have been a life long fan of UM, and have been waiting for what seems like forever for someone to gain the rights to stream it. Right now I am halfway through the second season, and am eagerly awaiting the next seasons. I've come across this board as I've been trying to delve further into the cases. Also, I see IMDB is shutting down its message boards. Though I suppose I can't really blame them. Some of those boards were out of control.
I do remember that episode quite well! And agree, that was quite the reenactment! Also, IIRC, wasn't she only about 16 years old?? And they were still living with his parents. |

By the way LookslikeCRicci, I love your picture! I just watched that episode today and couldn't help but think "man, Patricia Meehan was way ahead of us in terms of the selfie."

The mabel woods case was not funny at all. It is one of the most twisted crimes featured especially against animals and a good person.
but there was a funny line by the sherriff along the lines of men wanting to kill to protect their dog faster than their wife. I meant to mark it for the UM lines thread. Welcome!

Yes, that was a very sad case indeed. Does anyone know if they will be putting the full series up? Or are they just doing a few seasons? |

The "fumbles" bank robber case was pretty funny. Mainly because of the poor acting when attempting to replicate clumsy moments like tripping over his own feet while robbing a bank. It was like something out of a comedy movie
