I heard on the radio today that Aretha Franklin might retire from the music business and focus on spending time with her grandchildren next year. I have always liked Aretha Franklin because her songs are soulful and are full of excellent lyrics so it's a surprise that Aretha Franklin is planning to retire next year and I wish her the best of success
Has anyone heard about this? Bestie |

God I hope not, at least not fully. We need Lady Soul's voice and inspiration. But if she dos retire, we do have a vast reservoir of recordings.

It's sad! None of these younger singers have her grit. But she is 74 years young. I'm sure doing studio work and touring has to be tiring. Another of my favorites Al Jarreau just retired do to exhaustion and he's 76.
