This is one topic that doesn't seem to have been covered on this forum yet but still offers an interesting perspective. What cases shown on UM do you think might have been somehow correlated or connected to each other or even with other non-UM cases? Here's some of mine:
-Dennis Walker and Steven Cox: they were both dealing with stolen baseball memorabilia and very well could have been in business together. -Dale Eaton: aside from Lisa Kimmel, he is suspected of other murders as well. Based on his profile and modus operandi, he bore striking similarities to other serial killers (i.e. David Parker Ray). -Norman Ladner and Don Henry/Kevin Ives: based on the hard evidence, I'd say they were definitely murdered. I wouldn't go far enough to say that the police were covering something up in Ladner's case, but it could be a mere matter of incompetence. Both these cases definitely had to involve witnessing something they shouldn't have which had to be drug drops or other illicit activities. They also occured in reasonably close proximity of each other (Arkansas/Mississippi). Any others? |

Charles Morgan/Danny Casalaro/Don Devereux
Veronica Jefferson/Rachael Raver & Warren Fulton Oops. I didn't read the OP as clearly as I thought. The two I posted are proven to have been connected and not what I "think" might be a connection. I'll have to come back after thinking about it on that. |

The two priest murders (Fr. Renaldo and Fr. Rivera) and the unsolved suicide of "William Toomey". There is info on another thread on here, but there are some very interesting threads there.

I've always felt that Norman Ladner was murdered for something he witnessed while out hunting in the woods. The Dixie Mafia was doing large scale drug running around that part of the south during that time period. And as history showed, more than a few local law enforcement were caught up in that and sent to prison. The authorities in this case were all to eager to rule his death a suicide. Contrary to all evidence. Eerily similar to Henry and Ives

I don't think the priest murders (Rivera and Kerrigan) are connected. Rivera wasn't specifically targeted. His killer (or killers) just wanted to kill a priest from that church, any priest.
Kerrigan's (in-all-likelihood) murder was more personal. The perp(s) in his case probably knew about Kerrigan's previous sexual assaults on choir boys (went to "priest rehab" at least once, in 1983, and was transferred to 13 different churches between 1964 to when he went missing in 1984). |

As Robin mentioned in his podcasts about Fathers Riviera and Kerrigan, this happened in my neck of the woods. I have been *very* tempted to do a little digging of my own on this matter and actually drive out to Ronan/Plains to see if anyone is willing to talk. My guess is that they will not be talking anytime soon, but I am convinced that the killer of Father Kerrigan is someone in the Plains community. |

I think whomever killed him followed him to Ronan and got rid of him once and for all. And if that's true, it wouldn't be a local resident. Unless the churches he was at prior were not that far from Ronan. |

The people of Ronan were very lucky the good father was only in town for 2 days. It's criminal on the part of the church that he was able to do what he did for so long. I'm an Irish Catholic and I have nothing to do with the church since the abuse scandal came into clear focus. Many other priests are deserving of the fate that met Kerrigan. But that is just my own personal opinion

I should have been more clear. Plains and Ronan are not next door to each other. Off the top of my head, I'd guess they're about 50 miles apart. 50 miles is nothing in Montana. I consider that a short drive, to be quite honest. ![]() Whatever happened in Plains was egregious enough for the church to actually "do something," although it wasn't much at all, which was the trigger for his killing, in my opinion. I think the folks of Plains know, but no one's talking. |
