I'm watching through S1 on Amazon Prime and came across this segment. The man had a car fall on him and claims he went to the afterlife. He has since passed away, but I was curious as to what everyone thought of this particular segment. I think his brain created these images as he was deprived of oxygen. I think he believed it, but I don't think it was the afterlife he saw. As for the mathematical symbols he was writing out, I think he either made that part up or was writing out something he saw previously that he didn't consciously remember. He was on Phil Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, and Good Morning America, so he definitely gained some degree of fame for it.

I thought it was a pickup truck that fell on him and not a car.

I've always been extremely skeptical about these near death cases
I too have prescribed to the theory that it's hallucinations from lack of oxygen. |

He made an excellent living out of this experience.

I tend to doubt these stories but at the same time some of the things people describe would be tough to make up. I guess if people want to believe, there is no harm done. |

I thought his original quote was funny too.. Something like "I'm the only person that's ever been kicked out of heaven, because I chose to stay but ended up back here" |
