Our Hazel was really something in the kichen. She made it hum so well she made Julia Child look like Lisa Douglas lol.
If you could have Hazel come by and whip up a full course gourmet meal what would you propose? Here's my fantasy Shrimp cocktail with Hazel's signature cocktail sauce Lobster Thermador Caesar Salad with Hazel's homemade garlic croutons Parker House Rolls baked from scratch with the best creamery butter Hazel could conjure up Baked Alaska Coffee Passionfruit flavored seltzer NOW WHAT'S YOUR fantasy gourmet meal by Hazel? |

I'd rather her make an all American comfort food type meal !
Like meatloaf, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans !! Apple Pie or chocolate cake for desert !!! Or a hearty breakfast: French toast, sausage, coffee !!

First, I’d love to try Hazel’s brownies. After that I’m curious about her cheese horse doovers, or those cheese puff things she made. Her beef stroganoff sounds delicious too. I’d even like to try her Garlic horse doovers that she fed Mr. B & “Flirty Gertie” in the episode where she thought Mr. B was going to have a little fling.

Dessert for me would definitely be an enormous "slab" of pecan pie with whipped cream. That would be worthy of giving Hazel "a big smack (kiss)," as she would say.

I think I'd take a pass on her prune pie (which she told the snotty couple who came to dinner on the wrong Saturday was her specialty), but I'll give the beef stew a go. For breakfast, I think I'll try some of your pancakes, blueberry, if you please. |

Good to see this old thread revived. Gives me another thought, I'd love to have some of Hazel's Peach Cobbler like she made in the Thanksgiving episode where Mr. Griffin requested it. By the way, related to another thread, this Thanksgiving episode's end is always cut but on the commercial DVD you see the family and Mr. Griffin along with Lief Erickson and wife Alice Mitchell all enjoying the Peach Cobbler and seconds for Mr. Griffin.
