Question Will Hallmark show the B&W episodes in color?

Since the B&W episodes of Bewitched & I Dream of Jeannie are shown in color will The Lucy Show also be that way? And when will Hallmark air The Lucy Show, does anyone know yet?

I don't think the early episodes will be colorized. The early episodes of "Bewitched" and "Jeannie" were not colorized specifically for Hallmark, but were instead done several years ago for international syndication. I don't believe the early "Lucy Show" episodes have been colorized before, and it's doubtful that they would be colorized specifically for Hallmark. My guess is that Hallmark is simply going to skip them, the way they do for the early "My Three Sons" episodes. I hope I'm wrong, though -- they're the best episodes.

The Lucy Show was filmed in black and white for the first season only... the second and third seasons were filmed in color but broadcast in black and white (go figure...)... I have seen TV Shows and movies on Hallmark before in black and white, and since they are picking up more black and white shows (i.e. The Beverly Hillbillies) then my theory is that they will show the first season shows in black and white, but pick up the second series in color, since the network is a "color-preferred" network... also, my belief on why My Three Sons' B&W episodes is NOT shown on Hallmark is because a great deal of the episodes (5 seasons or so) was B&W...

The executives at Desilu realized that color episodes would be more valuable in syndication, so they began using color film starting with the second season, even though CBS was not yet broadcasting any sitcoms in color. It's pretty impressive that they had the foresight to do this and were willing to invest the money.

Don't be too impressed with Hallmark. While it is nice they are showing the Lucy Show, it is my observation from seeing Bewitched, and other Hallmark shows that they butcher them to make room for more commercials.
