My husband and I are in a dispute about a actor in the opening segment of the show. I am almost positive Latoya Jackson appears in the opening segment of the show. He says no. It is the season after Lisa Bonet left. She appears with Dewayne and in several other cameo shots. Somebody please tell me im right.

Yeah, I know the girl you are talking about. Its in the opening credits in which the characters move across the screen, a trick that was popular in music videos at the time.
Although she bears a striking resemblance to LaToya, the actress in question is not Latoya Jackson. I'm pretty sure she did appear in some Different World episodes, and possibly in a few guest roles in other series at the time.

No Latoya never appeared on the show. She was referred to in the Jesse Jackson episode.
