The only series I can think of that strikes me this way is "Sgt. Bilko". I find both Phil Silvers and the series very, very funny, but after about a couple of weeks in a weekday-type rerun line-up, it just eventually starts wearing me down and grating on my nerves. This, despite the fact it remains funny and very well-written. Only series I can think of, offhand, that hits me like this, where I genuinely like the series, but can only take it in those small doses.

Airwolf (I'm in the second of the 2.5 CBS seasons [the 1984-85 season], and while it has had some pretty good stories [at least IMO], when I get to the fourth season made in Canada for USA Network, I'm calling it right there and not even touching that one.)

Drama's would fall in this category.

Marcus Welby.
You learn a lot watching this show, but watching it every day can be mentally draining.

The only shows I can handle in only small doses are any kind of drama shows. Why? Because they tend to deal with "heavy" or serious topics for the most part and I can't stand to much of that.

Sitcoms , on the other hand , I could watch all the time

Seinfeld.

Watching one or two of those vignettes is enough.

Duh doon doon dahn doo.

That's it.
