Wow, that was a long list----did you go by memory?

Here is a thread that was started ....but got lost around Oct

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...d.php?t=344711

I found this list that has some pictures and goes by the month and the day they died: (it has 140, but didn't have Phyllis Schlafly died Sept 5 2016)

http://fiftiesweb.com/dead/dead-people-2016/

I sure there are other lists that might contain more.

We had a longtime family friend that could have been his twin brother.

I'm sure almost no one knows who he is by name. He was a longtime stage actor but was best known for doing White Owl cigar commercials in the 1970's before tobacco ads were banned from TV.

I couldn't find a White Owl commercial but I did find a Gillette commercial he did.

I'm not sure if more celebrities have died this past year than usual or just that so many beloved celebrities died, many so unexpectedly!

Fred Stobaugh, the oldest person to chart on the Billboard 100, died on Nov. 23, 2016 at 99 in hospice care.

He wrote the 2013 song 'Oh Sweet Lorraine,' which he had dedicated to his late wife of 73 years.
