hi,

does anyone know why they did not continue the romance between matt and joanne ?

i loved the writing on the show, but i did think that the reasoning of joanne not seeing matt again was lame, in that i do not think it represents real life at all.

who would allow 2 siblings to totally dominate one's thinking ? and punish the boy, who had done nothing wrong ?

i just dont see any girl really doing that. and especially after mary and lucy were really apologetic.

^^^ I agree that the girl shouldn't have let Mary and Lucy's crap ruin what her and Matt could've had, but I guess that the people of the show were only trying to show that in real life actions should have consequences. When a person does something bad enough in the real world, they are not the only people who pay should they end up in jail or worse. Their family and friends loses time with them that they can not get back too.

i think mary and lucy already learned that

i just dont like the writing of the show in this one

perhaps ashley did not have the time to play a recurring role, or perhaps she and the producers did not get along, etc. ?

so they wrote her out - but to me, it was not at all realistic

it is not so much about what joanne should have done or not

for me, it is about making the characters realistic. now people do all sorts of things that they should not do. but i dont find it even slightly likely that joanne would have done what she did

i can see joanne being snooty with m&l, not forgiving them, being distant to them, etc.

she would not have thrown matt away because of them. both she and matt were doing well, and she was a very nice person.

matt did not seem to put up that much of a fight, either.

i know one thing. if i had been matt, joanne would still be seeing me !!!
