Though I say this almost every year...
... I have to say 2016 was the WORST year ever for me!
I lost my mom as you all know, but we also lost a lot of talented musicians and other celebrities. Though the Cavaliers won a Championship, I'm far too sad to say "Happy New Year"! When I had a bad year, at least I can say "Happy New Year"...But not this year. |

I'm sorry you had a bad year MrCleveland, you've been through a lot, that's for sure.
![]() You should remember though, that once you reach the lowest point in your life, it can only get better from there, and each following day will be an improvement over the last. I hope 2017 has better things in store for you, and you will be in my prayers. |

Mr. Cleveland, I know how it is. But like Phoenix said, it could only get better.

Mr Cleveland, I'm sorry you lost your mom and had a rough year. Let's hope 2017 is better for you! For me, 2016 was actually a good year. I went back to school AND got a scholarship AND a job! The Cubs won the World Series and that was something I thought I'd never see. However, yeah there were bad things too, such as the election, too many famous singers died, etc.

Mr. Cleveland. I am sorry about the loss of you mom I know losing a parent is very hard I still have the struggles and my dad passed in '95. However you were treated to a NBA Championship, Indians did lose the World Series (to my Cubs but I won't gloat about it) and the Browns did win a game....think positive!!!

MrCleveland, I can see and feel your pain in your recent posts. I know the
pain because I've lost both my parents and it was devastating! Time is what will help you begin to heal the wound of losing a loved one. It's going to be a long process. You've already gotten through the first Christmas, which is the MOST difficult! You're strong! You carved out a new way to celebrate Christmas, with your father, eating Chinese food and watching a movie, I think you said. Next year, plan on doing the same thing or some- thing different with your father. Future holidays will never be the same, as the ones in the past. Don't even bother to compare them! Holidays will just be different . . in time you'll embrace that fact. In the meantime, you have a life to live. Don't dwell on WHAT IF'S. Appreciate the NOW, and let TIME, be your friend! |

And with the Browns probably probably going 1-15...I do think of other NFL franchises becoming successful after that...Will the Cleveland Browns be the legacy of the 2020's? |

Don't forget a bad Summer Olympics this year, too, BTW. No Olympic Flame within the main Olympic Stadium at all like in past Summer Games. They didn't even show the Olympic Flame in front of the church on the stadium's video screen. Not to mention the Zika virus, sanitation and infrastructure concerns, and Brazil's political scandal and economic woes. Maybe we wouldn't have lost so many of our favorite celebrities during this calendar year if Rio de Janeiro had put the Olympic Flame in its true Olympic Stadium during this year's Games instead of a 65-year-old non-Olympic football stadium.
