Wasn't Naomi an assistant manager at Food Circus and Vint full time at Kwik Keys so why the jokes about late rent? They should have been able to afford something on their own.

They could have paid the rent on time, but they knew Mama wouldn't evict them so they took advantage of her generosity. It was also in their best interest to live with Mama as long as they could because she did the cooking, laundry and other household chores.

Exactly. Also, who knows what kind of debt they might have accumulated during their earlier life and first marriages.

Remember, their life savings were wiped out with that Bad Trailer park deal when they got married. that was a factor as well.

I'm a cashier at a grocery store and we don't get paid no 10 an hour.... less.
