LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles radio personality and host of the nationally syndicated show "Rockline" Bob Coburn has died. He was 68. His radio home since 1980, Los Angeles station KLOS 95.5, announced Coburn's death on its website. The station said he died Saturday of lung cancer after being diagnosed earlier this year. Coburn was well known to rock stars and music fans as host of the weekly "Rockline" show, which ran from 1981 to 2014. He interviewed such superstars as Keith Richards, Robert Plant and Paul McCartney on the program, where listeners could call in with questions. Def Leppard, Tom Morello, Paul Stanley, Joe Satriani, Stephen Pearcy and Avenged Sevenfold were among the rockers who reacted on Twitter to Coburn's death. Stanley called him "a lovely guy and the spirit of kindness." |
