Jake Weber To Recur on "Homeland"
"Homeland" Mirrors Current Events, Adds Alt-Right Anarchist
by Michael O'Connell 12/6/16 "Homeland" may have jumped the gun on its female president elect, but the Showtime drama's sixth season still promises to mirror quite a bit of reality. The drama, returning Jan. 15, has just added an alt-right media personality to the growing list new characters. The part, played by Jake Weber, reads about as appealing as one can imagine. Brett O'Keefe is described as an aggressive and charming anarchist, though not one with any gig in the fictional administration. (Think less Steve Bannon and more Alex Jones.) "Alt right," for anyone who's completely shunned current events for the last year, is the umbrella term for people whose far-right ideologies distance them from mainstream conservatism.
