...if you have a sprain or a fracture? Because on wednesday i got kicked in my thumb and it's been hurting and swollen ever since. I thought that it might be sprained and go away in a couple days but it hasn't. I can't wright, it hurts to touch it and to move my other fingers and even to type. I really don't want to go to the doctor if it'll go away in a couple more days. So can some1 help me?

If you can't move your thumb, it's probably broken. You might wanna go to the doc just to get it checked out. You may need a splint or something.

If it's not better in a couple more days...Amputate. Or if you're not up to that, ice it and take antiinflamtories, like advil, ibuprofen. You could have a hairline fracture so if the pain persists you'll need exrays to find out and then deal with it from there. I know that I could have just told you to see the doctor but you asked for advice first. You won't die in the meantime...will you?

You might want to get X-rays. If it's a sprain, it should have at least started to feel better since Wednesday. But it might be a fracture, so if you can't get to the doctors, at least take some popcicle sticks and tape them together for a splint. It'll keep it from getting worse
