l liked him around 11 because he was more sarcastic, especially with Charlie.

I also liked him when he was young. He was just funnier when he was little.

Jake was funny until he got to be a teenager, then his character became stupid. He was best in the first three seasons. The "Squab" episode was the best early-season episode that featured Jake.

Jake added nothing as a teenager. Some of the funniest episodes were when he was small: The previously-mentioned "Squab" episode (probably the series' best), also the episode when Alan fell off the ladder, the episode where they kept forgetting to pick up Jake at school, the episode where Charlie does jingles with the fourth grade class, the episode where Evelyn fakes a heart attack (gift shop closed?), the episode where Charlie takes Jake to the emergency room...
