Default Black Friday or CyberMonday???

Black Friday and CyberMonday are just around the corner! What's your
preference? Do like the excitement of being out in the crowds, getting
the door buster deals, or do you like to shop online? . . or do you
plan to shop on Thanksgiving?

I will not do either! I can't stand crowds or long lines! I also hate the term Black Friday and Doorbusters! I wish they would get rid of Black Friday! Retailers are too greedy!

If I had to pick one I'd go with Cyber Monday. I stopped shopping on Black Friday several years ago, people pushing & shoving to get to the hottest items just seems anti-christmas to me. I might order something over the weekend/cyber monday from Amazon, not sure yet.

I got up really early and did the Black Friday thing at Radio Shack a long time ago and that was enough for me. Totally overrated. I ended up with nothing special.

I got a $35 Amazon Fire tablet last year online on Cyber Monday and am pretty happy with it. Even though it has a lot of ads when you turn the thing on.

Online is the only way to go for me.

You can avoid the lines.

Madderest

Corporate greed RUINED Black Friday when they decided to move the door busters to Thanksgiving morning. There is no way I will shop on Thanksgiving.

Neither! My Christmas shopping was done last month. I shop online all year. Mostly amazon and Ebay.

NEVER do I shop on Black Friday, I just take one trip to Target sometime before Christmas and order everything else online. But mainly I have been giving a lot of gift cards the last few years!

Why do you say retailers are too greedy when it's the shoppers trampling each other for sale prices?

Well, I wouldn't say they're greedy but just making sure they avoid the red. But I do resent how retailers have completely disrespected Thanksgiving. Why can't they just wait until 5-6 am Friday. They'll still make lots of sales

Unfortunately, I get sucked into Black Friday but not too much. I strategize when to shop and NEVER EVER try to Black Fruday shop anything electronic. I'm pretty much a low level user of technology -just an iPad, analog TV with a converter box, and a clamshell cell.

Because I'm old school I opt for Black Friday. I buy next to nothing over the Internet. Black Friday is good for me to buy any clothes or toiletries I need. JC Penney' Harmon, Michael's and Bed Bath and Beyond were my only pit stops.

That I agree but they obviously see the demand for opening on Thanksgiving. Sometimes that's the difference between making and losing money for the year. Remember, Black Friday got it's name because stores lost money from January 1st until Thanksgiving which is 11/12 of the year. Plus, percentage wise retailers don't make nearly as much as people think they do. When you sell the same products as a thousand other stores and the internet, competition keeps the margins thin. And every sale has to pay for wages, taxes, employee benefits, utilities and numerous other things non business people never consider.

Cyber-Monday, I can't drive so on-line shopping is great for me. However this year I'm not doing much because our family has decided not to buy presents for all of us, it's getting too expensive. (except for my sister and brother-in-law. Hell, they can afford TEN Christmases. Anyone who gives their son a week in France as a break from his college studies like they recently did!)

I prefer shopping online. I hate crowds and everything is always cheaper online. I hate crowds anyway.
