Epix Cancels "Berlin Station"
"Berlin Station" and "Graves" Renewed for 2nd Seasons at Epix
by Nellie Andreeva 11/17/16 A month after their premieres, Epix has given second-season renewals to its first two original scripted series, hourlong drama "Berlin Station" and half-hour dramedy "Graves". Each has received a 10-episode order with production scheduled to begin in early spring. “Both series are particularly timely and relevant and quickly found their place in the competitive TV landscape.” said Epix President and CEO Mark S. Greenberg. Epix has not released viewership data for "Berlin Station" or "Graves", which were backed by a major marketing campaign and received decent (Graves) to solid (Berlin Station) reviews from critics. Contemporary spy drama "Berlin Station" takes a look at the activity of a CIA office on a global stage in the midst of an investigation into a now-famous whistleblower. The series follows Daniel Miller (Richard Armitage), a new arrival at Berlin’s CIA station who is on a clandestine mission to uncover the source of the Thomas Shaw leaks. Richard Jenkins, Michelle Forbes, Rhys Ifans, Leland Orser and Tamlyn Tomita also star. "Graves" follows former two-term Republican President Richard Graves (Nick Nolte) as he embarks on a Don Quixote-like quest to right the wrongs of his administration and reclaim his legacy 25 years after leaving the White House. His enlightenment takes place as his wife Margaret (Sela Ward), decides to pursue her own political ambitions. The series also stars Skylar Astin, Heléne Yorke, Chris Lowell and Callie Hernandez. http://deadline.com/2016/11/berlin-s...ix-1201856089/ |

"Graves" Canceled at Epix after 2 Seasons
by Denise Petski 12/21/17 There will be no Season 3 for Nick Nolte starrer "Graves". MGM-owned Epix has canceled its first scripted comedy series after two seasons, Deadline has confirmed. "Graves" wrapped its 10-episode sophomore season on December 10, with the season finale now serving as a series finale. Epix entered the original series arena with series orders to its three co-owners, Paramount (Berlin Station), Lionsgate (Graves) and MGM (Get Shorty). "Berlin Station" and "Graves" were first to go into production and premiere in 2016, and "Berlin Station" was recently renewed for a third season. "Get Shorty" premiered in August of this year. http://deadline.com/2017/12/graves-c...te-1202231168/ |

"Berlin Station" Cancelled at Epix
by Dave Nemetz March 29, 2019 "Berlin Station" is officially closed: Epix has cancelled the international spy thriller starring Richard Armitage after three seasons, according to our sister site Deadline. Debuting in October 2016 as one of Epix’s first scripted series, "Berlin Station" earned a Season 2 renewal from the pay-cable network the following month. Season 3 debuted in December; the Feb. 17 season finale will now serve as a series finale. (Epix also cancelled the Nick Nolte political comedy "Graves", which debuted the same night as "Berlin Station", in December 2017.) https://tvline.com/2019/03/29/berlin...epix-season-4/ |
