Default Don't Call Me Ginger: The Tina Louise Story by Tina Louise

Wink Williams has this exclusive clip from the upcoming book, Don't Call Me Ginger. According to Wink's Wild World, it is set to be published soon.

I have a list of responses that I use when those dumb fans approach. How's life on the Island? They almost always ask me that. The Island, I respond: you mean Manhattan? It's just fine. Aren't you that girl from that show? That's another common one. Yes I am, I respond, it was "Dallas" and I was given the boot after the first season. Or maybe you mean the syndicated strip soap-opera "Rituals" that ran briefly? This usually shuts their big mouths up. No, I bellow as they shove a pen in my face, I DON'T SIGN AUTOGRAPHS! Now get out of my way you losers!
That * * Dawn Welles. She screwed me royally when she put together that recent reunion thing. Yes, I would have told her where to go had she approached me about it, but she didn't and then those bastards put out a press release that I declined to take part. It was a conspiracy against me from day one! It was supposed to be about a movie star and seven others. Once they got me to do it, they changed the whole premise. That scum bag Sherwood Schwartz. He screwed me out of the syndication money too!

I know that Tina despised Gilligan's Island, but I don't believe she went overboard like that! I don't know why she hates the show I think it's probably the funniest show I've ever seen.

I can understand her getting sick and tired of being referred to as "Ginger". But in truth, if not for "Gilligan's Island" people would be asking even dumber questions like, "Tina Who?"

Thumbs down

I hate Tina Louise.
Not only is she ugly & untalented, but more people like Mary Ann better than Ginger. Plus she's very bitter because no one gives a care about her anymore. Anyone with a brain will not read or buy her book. It's probably all lies any way. I love Bob Denver. I hate Tina Louise. He is why I love Gilligan's Island.

Did I mention I hate Tina Louise?

Can I add a big ditto to this comment? People would have no idea who the hell she was if it wasn't for Ginger. I guess some people want to live in that 15 minute spotlight, and others are chased by it even after the 15 minutes are up. I guess Tina is being chased by the light even today....

Umm I take that very offensive because she is probably in my top 10 fav actresses list... I am going to buy her book because I love GI and watch it every day. And I think when she was younger she was probably one of the prettiest women in the world.

... freakin bozo!

Default Wink's Wild World: Fake?

Some say Wink's world exists in a parallel universe that was created as a result of a rip in the fabric of time. (scientifically known as: parodyitis-maximus.) Please, don't be mad at poor Tina Louise who reports the book is a fake and that con man Wink has pulled another one over on the unsuspecting public. Thank You

Default Wink Sez...

Wink is not real. Everything he says and does exist in a world known as: parody. I hate to break character to explain this but am distressed when I see people attacking an innocent Tina, who I love.
