Anybody seen/heard of the SO member Changewind?

He joined here apparently September 19. He doesn't have any posts here, but he's registered here and I wondered if he PM'd anybody else. He had a collection of Svengoolie episodes I wanted to trade for but he dropped off the map after he PM'd me. I've been trying to contact him ever since to complete our trade. Anybody have any contact with him(at least I think it's a him?)?

i never trust people that register and never post - just contacting people in secret by PM only.

if everything is above board, what reason would they have for not posting about any potential trade publicly? it would benefit them to do so because it might mean more potential trades for the same item, and give them exposure to the trading community for other trades as well. It would also give them a public record of an intention to trade, which may come in handy of there were ever a dispute.

He/she said that they saw what I posted in one reading post board looking for some Svengoolie episodes to trade and he said he would be interested and told me the ones he had then dropped off. It was so strange. I hope he PM's me back sometime soon.

Do mods have access to emails you register with?

no we do not - I think only Todd has that.

we do however have access to IP address information per post, so you can verify if someone is posting with a different username.

Alot of sites have it configured that you cannot regurally use PM until your a well established member...... (Only allowing 1 or 2 PMs a day I think)
