Schedule for The Black & White Network - a cooperative project - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I mentioned back in an "ideal schedule" thread that I thought it would be neat to do an all black and white schedule. I don't know much about things like soaps, medical shows, etc., though, so I thought it would be interesting to see if several people could contribute to a diverse schedule. A few thoughts:

1. How it will work is that people can propose one show at a time, along with a time slot. To give people a chance to join in, maybe limit at first to two picks per day per person, with any two picks by a person separated by at least six hours;

2. Once or twice a day, I'll go through and update a master schedule so that people can see what time slots are still available.

3. I'd like to try to make it a fairly realistic schedule, maybe with some soaps in the afternoon, some game shows in the morning, etc. I don't want to be rigid with that, though. If there's just a lot of shows of some type to include then they'll get more space. My initial thought is that there's enough programming so that stripping is not required, except for shows that were originally on multiple days per week

4. Try to preserve some courtesy in scheduling. I think it would be neat to have shows in their original time slots, but if that leads to the first three shows some night being half hour sitcoms at 8, 9, and 10:00, then we'll probably jiggle things around so that we have a time slot available for an hour-long variety or drama show.

5. I haven't thought this out extensively, so please discuss any of the points above, or make any other suggestions or observations you might have (one question would be how to fill the late nights). It's a cooperative project!

Primetime mostly started at 7:30 in the black and white era, so if you wanted you could move these up half an hour, or there would be room for another show.
