Jack Osbourne on Living his "Most Awkward, Terrible Years" on Family's Reality Show

Jack Osbourne is leaning into his former awkward years on reality TV.

The 30-year-old reality star took a look back at the his family’s hit MTV series, "The Osbournes", for the latest episode of EW: The Show. The series followed Jack, sister Kelly, mom Sharon, and rocker dad Ozzy as they navigated their quirky lives for four seasons starting in 2002.





The youngest Osbourne shared a few of his favorite memories filming the series, one of which features comedian Jack Black.

“I turned on MTV and there was our trailer for the show,” said Jack Osbourne of first realizing the show was “a thing.” “I was excited, nervous. I didn’t know what to expect.”

Black’s band Tenacious D filmed mini-music videos for the show that personified the rocker family. “I look back and I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s pretty cool to have Jack Black do that for us’.”





As for having his teen years forever saved on screen, Osbourne is using it to his benefit as a teaching tool for his two daughters.

“I literally have the most awkward, terrible years of my life forever available for my viewing if I do so choose,” he said. “I kind of like that.”

The star joked that when daughters Andy Rose and Pearl complain about teenage life, he can pop in some old episodes to shock them back to reality. “Here are three years of my teenage life, which sucked.”
