Default Sundance Channel adding Classic TV block

The block will have All in the Family, MASH, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show and The Andy Griffith Show. Good idea or overkill?

I'll watch The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Bob Newhart Show. The others are on other channels and I'm kind of burned out on them. There are a lot of us that can't get the over the air (antenna) channels that air classics and there are so many that haven't been shown in years that I wish they'd air, shows like All In The Family and The Andy Griffith Show and even MASH have been on quite a bit.

That's how I feel about it except I don't like M*A*S*H and I could do without The Andy Griffith Show.

I think it's okay, but most of those shows, good as they are, have been on other channels quite a bit. But it does not really affect me anyway.....I leave for work before 7:00 am and get home after 5:00. Good to know for "mental health" days at home! 😄

I'll miss out on it about all of the time because of work, but I do look forward to watching The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Bob Newhart Show part of next month and all of December when I'm making use of all of the vacation time that I've accumulated.

It seems a little overkill with AITF and Andy Griffith being on other channels. But I'll watch if there isn't anything on. Am glad Mary Tyler Moore is on.

I don't get Sundance, but this is a smart move.

I know I get the shows that Sundance will play, but at least they don't suffer from channel drift like other stations!

Andy Griffith Show is all over the place. They could have chose a different show for that time slot. Mary Tyler Moore and All In The Family I haven't watched much but I know they are funny. MASH I have seen a lot and will probably skip, but it is a great show.

I'm in for All in the Family, never saw it before and have been wanting to for a while.

I tuned in for The Bob Newhart Show this morning, but for some reason they were playing Jerry Maguire instead. It looks like The Mary Tyler Moore show is scheduled to air tomorrow though.

This was around 9:00 in the morning when I tuned in. The guide showed that another movie was scheduled to air after Jerry Maguire.

They have suffered from channel drift. The original purpose of the channel was to play independent/art-house type movies. The channel barely resembles what it started out as, same as IFC, AMC and other channels that started out as commercial free movie channels.
