Default Kids in a restaurant

I remember seeing an episode where two children were searching for their birth parents. They'd been adopted by a couple with better means to care for them. However, they'd be taken to a restaurant where the parents were part of the staff. Their parents would enjoy seeing them there, unbeknownst tom the children their birth parents were so closeby. It seems this had enough variables that somebody would have known who they were. Anybody know of this case? An update?

I do remember the case. Seems like it was in CA. But I'm not sure. Sorry I can't remember their names.

Irene Love and Dolores Ford. To my knowledge, they've never reunited, but I hope I'm wrong.

I have nothing to add here except 1990 UM fan is the ultimate master of Lost Loves cases. Sometimes I'll be reading a "Does anyone remember this story" post, and just as I'm pretty sure it was never on UM, he already has names and the wiki link posted.

That was a memorable case and I was always disappointed that there was never any update. Frankly, this always seemed like a Lost Love case that should have been easily solvable compared to the others.

Each girl's adoptive parents made sure they were always a part of each other's lives, while keeping from them the secret that they were actually sisters.

The Loves taking Irene to the same restaurant every Sunday so her birth parents could see her from a far means they probably kept some form of communication with each other for quite a while.

After the deaths of Dolores's adoptive parents, she was then adopted by her actual birth parents. Did she ever find out the truth? Can you imagine how much of a bombshell that would be to find out?

The Wynns moving away might have been necessary for employment reasons but it's hard to understand why they never tried to keep some kind of tabs on Irene after years of working out the system that they had. Maybe it was too painful for them to go on keeping that secret any longer and since they had one of their daughters back, they decided to cut their losses, so to speak. The problem is Irene accidentally found out the truth as a teenager and at that point, there was no reason for any secrets to be kept at that point. But by then, it was too late.

That entire ordeal sounded like a Lifetime movie with no ending. I'm really surprised and bummed out that the Wynns were never tracked down.

Totally remember this story. It was a sad one for sure. I remember seeing it quite a bit on Lifetime in the late 90s and early 2000s, and hoping that the next time it aired there would be some sort of an update, but it never happened.

I just can't help but think a restaurant co-worker or an acquaintance of the birth parents or adopted girls family would know something.

I love this segment and find it very touching. Due to the number of years that have elapsed, it's likely Ramona and Glenn are deceased. But I do wonder who Delores went to live with after they separated, and if they told her the truth about being her birth parents.

I did some internet searching on this case. According to a post on this website, Irene sadly passed away in 2012 and Glenn Wynn in 1988. Irene apparently found some of her family, but not all, nor did she ever find Delores.

In that thread, and on the Unsolved Mysteries website, someone mentioned that Dolores may be "Delores Wynn Henderson" who was born on July 2, 1945, and lived in Los Angeles. The birth date seems to match up, as Irene was born in 1946 and Dolores was mentioned as being one year older than her. Sadly, the comment on the UM website says she passed away in 1991.
I don't know if there is anyway to confirm if this is her or not though.

Thank you for posting. That really could be her especially because the maiden names of her mother and father matched the names given in the segment.

The segment doesn't give an exact DOB for Dolores, but that sounds like a match. It's too bad they were never reunited.

Just watched this segment and it's a shame there was no reunion but I absolutely loved the start of segment where you start seeing Robert Stack in a mirror as he is talking about Alice in Wonderland and it pulls away. It's little touches like this I love.
