I get networks extending playtimes so they can add more commercials (I.E Lifetime expanding Golden Girls for 30 to 36 minutes).
CMT played season 5 episode 10 of Last Man Standing on 9/24. I recorded it because my original network recording was missing the first 20 seconds or so but the end was fine. I was disappointed to discover CMT superimposed end of show credits at the end of the second to last segment and did not air the final 60 second segment at all. Obviously to air more commercials without expanding the time window. Only caught this one on a fluke but I'd bet that's not the only episode or syndication CMT has pulled this deception on and I'd bet they're not the only network short changing the consumer. We should all contact the FCC so they can prohibit this anti-consumer and unethical practice. |
