Did Family Ties go Overboard on Flashback Episodes? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

As Family Ties got late into its run, there seemed to be more flashback episodes as well as clips from previous episodes. It seemed that the writers were beginning to run out of situations as the kids were getting older. Did the show go overboard on the flashback episodes?

I'd say yes. Pretty much every season had a special 2 part episode that was an excuse for clips.
