Am I the only one who thought this was not a good or particularly flattering portrait of Knox?

It certainly doesn't make her seem like a beacon of purity given she talks about all of the sex she had and the pot she smoked, but at the same time, she was pretty honest. Maybe a bit aloof, but who wouldn't be after going what she went through?
I really don't believe she was responsible. Based on what I've read concerning how that crime was handled by the Perugia PD, I find it impossible to condemn her. After seeing the documentary and hearing the lead investigator try to reason his point of view, I feel even more passionately that she had no part of anything. There is an anti-Knox mob cult online who accuse the opposing side of being Knox "groupies," but the reality is that the Knox "groupies" simply don't believe in convicting people of crimes without sufficient evidence. I've never really thought she was guilty. There was no discernible motive for her to kill Meredith Kercher, and the notion that Knox, Sollecito, and Guede killed her in some pseudo-Satanic sex game was and is absurd—nothing but a pipe dream from a dogmatic Italian Catholic who admittedly based his career choice on the fact that he wanted to be like Sherlock Holmes. I'm frankly flabbergasted that the Kercher family still thinks Knox is guilty. I understand grief, but at the same time I have zero empathy for people who let that cloud their judgment of others—especially given there is so much compelling evidence that Rudy Guede was the only tangible suspect. |
