the death of Christine Chubbuck - info about her and her death and the aftermath
In a book we have at work they talk about Christine Chubbuck and her suicide. In 1974 Chubbuck was anchoring the news on a tv station in Florida. Then out of the blue she pulled out a gun and then announced her own suicide on live tv. She pulled the trigger and you can guess what happens next.
Does anybody remember this? How did the tv station handle the situation ( go off the air, break away for commericial ) ? What did the tv station do for its viewers? The book didnt go into much details about that. |
