What, in your opinion, are some of the best and worst menu designs on television disc releases?

Some of my favorites include:

--Perry Mason (list of episodes, gavel as the selector, picture of Perry, Della, Paul or the like [IINM], and a "Play All" option ["Play All" starting on the second season])

--Barney Miller (Seasons 4-8 [1977-82]; set against the squad room door; has title on top, season and disc number, and options of "Play All" and "Episodes")

--The Bob Newhart Show (set against Bob Hartley's office door; has options of "Play All" and "Episodes," and on some discs, "Bonus Features")

One of the worst, IMO, was that of MacGyver, in that it lists just the episodes, and has no "Play All" option; here's an example from the first disc of the sixth season of that ABC adventure series (1990-91); this one has a "Previews" option, but no "Play All."

To me, menus with music are annoying.

I like them simple, clean, and without music.

I also like a "play all" feature.

Great answer! IMO, the menus on Perry Mason improved after the first season (first one having the annoying background rendition of the Mason title track), and subsequent releases (which include the Season 4, Vol. 1 menu above) had no music whatsoever.
