I have been tuning into the show also. Awful to say, but Dick's voice of Walter Dentons is kind of getting to me. A bit high pitched for me.

I love Eve Arden and Gale Gordon. But our Me-TV affiliate shows infomercials from 5:00 am - 8:00 am.

Agreed! It seems a bit forced. I guess he did it that way on the radio show before the television show so listeners had to use their imagination as to what he looked like. BTW, you may remember that Mr. Crenna also guest-starred as a similar character on "I Love Lucy" (Miss Brooks was filmed at the same studio).

That sucks! Do you get the DECADES channel? They run an episode occasionally.

Eve Arden and Gale Gordon are fun to watch, but I really haven't had any LOL moments like I Love Lucy. Oh wait, I did get a chuckle when Mr. Boynton was trying on the dress and the principal walked in and did a double take. Maybe there will be more laughs down the road as I become more familiar with the characters.

I'm enjoying this series! I've never seen it before and the transfers look very crisp and clear but being filmed at Desilu and handled by CBS distribution that's not surprising.

From the 1950s, there's I Love Lucy, there's The Honeymooners, there's Leave It to Beaver . . . and then there's everything else.

I'll take Burns & Allen or Ozzie & Harriet over The Honeymooners any day. I can't stand Ralph Kradem's yelling.

I was hoping to like "Our Miss Brooks" more, but I've sort of lost interest. I like Gale Gorden better as Mr. Mooney on The Lucy Show. Richard Crenna's voice is annoying. Eve is too...um, for lack of a better word, masculine. She's not a girly-girl. Her delivery, voice, and poise reminds me of Bea Arthur. Nothing wrong with that. Just not my "cup of tea."

Yes, in fact we are watching Decades now on this rainy Saturday. We once had an Allentown affiliate for Me-TV that had no breaks in programming and that was great. But what we have now is better than nothing at all.

Today's Thanksgiving episode was hilarious. Lots of great one-liners.

The stars DO get funny lines, particularly Eve Arden--Gordon and Crenna get their share of good zingers, also. The main continuing plot--Connie chasing an unwilling Boynton--is funny. But I have to say the writing is odd--the individual stories are mostly downright weird, and most end abruptly, sometimes without resolution. Maybe MeTV could let us sample the other Desilu comedy of the 50s--December Bride.

The series is growing on me. Is it just me or did Crenna tone down his voice a bit. Either that, or I'm just getting used to it. It doesn't annoy me anymore. I do like the addition of Jesslyn Fax as Angela, and that running gag of the pet cat Minerva who understands english.
