Capt. Binghamton rarely miss an episode where he has not threatened courts martialing anyone for feckless cause. Lt. Carpenter is too willing to goad more. I think it is long past time someone Pot them for their offenses:
E.g., one episode, Season 3, "Fountain of Youth," Ted Night played an eager Admiral "Go go Granger." Binghamton, by a wall locker, gushed he was "Bing bing Binghamton," drug out a "Tommy Typewriter" and torched off a few rounds. IIRC, that was big time "firearm out of control" no-no. Another episode, Yvonne Craig as "Nurse Lt. Suzie Clayton," Carpenter direct her and the 73 crew into Binghamton's office, brandishing his .45 ACP. IIRC, brandishment is an assault. As often as weaponry fire, although I do not see how an M1911 could cook off, that is not only assault, but endangerment and threatening murder. How many times does Binghamton goad; "with orders to shoot to kill." Maybe direct and doable, but never lawful of an Allied troop. Maybe we could have Moot Courts to court martial the bent officers. What say you? |
