Former 3 Doors Down Guitarist Matt Roberts (1978-2016)

Former guitarist from 3 Doors Down, Matt Roberts, is dead from an apparent overdose. According to Matt's dad, he and Matt were just outside Wisconsin for a charity event where Matt was scheduled to play. Matt's dad, Darrel, said Matt had rehearsal until early Saturday morning, and the two went back to their hotel with adjoining rooms. Darrel says he woke up around 9:00 a.m. Saturday by detectives who told him Matt died overnight. Darrel says he believes prescription pills were involved, but he believes the overdose was accidental. Matt left 3 Doors Down four years ago due to health-related concerns. He was 38. |
